Pop Art Portraits
Back in the sixties, when was a kid in NYC I used to hang out in Manhattan and met Andy Warhol a couple times at his studio. I always remember one of his quotes, ‘Once you get Pop, you could never see a sign the same way again. He was a great guy and a truly innovate artist.
Now you can enjoy a fashionable modern art portrait by ordering one of my Warhol or Lichtenstein style Pop Art portraits. You can choose different styles and color schemes and with the Lichtenstein style portraits you can even add your own text. They really do make the coolest one-of-a-kind gifts you could give a loved one!
Unlike other Pop art portraits you can buy on the web, mine are not digital giclees (a fancy word for a computer print), they are entirely hand-painted using oil paint on canvas. That’s what makes them so special and adds to their heirloom value. Andy Warhol didn’t use digital printing he used silk-screens and hand-painting too.
If you want something really different and original and I can paint your portrait in very modern style. Here’s how it works. Send me a photo(s) and tell me what style and color scheme you prefer. I’ll draw up some proofs with different colors schemes and email them to you for you to comment and choose. That’s right, you’re actively involved in the design process. Once you’ve chosen a style and color scheme then I’ll paint it for you using real oil paint not a computer printer. If you’re unhappy with the end result then I’ll make changes until you’re satisfied. This is something the guys who do digital prints won’t offer to do for you as they have to print the whole picture again and printer is expensive.
